What's the latest notice you've been given to attend a job interview?

I would've thought that HR dept's would give you a weeks notice of an interview so you can arrange time off to attend? If not that, then a few days notice. But my friend tells me it's not unusual to get a phone call & be asked to attend the next day. What's your experience?

Yep. Asked to attend the following day. Have been there 6.5 years now,...

Same day, but it was a junior position and via a recruitment agency. Another interviewee had dropped out so they asked me. (And I got it!)

DH has been called at 11.30 for a 2.00 interview!

About 2 hours. Retail job.
