Bone Scan - hand hold

Hi Everyone,

I'm hoping someone can offer some advice. I'm 21 months out of active treatment for breast cancer. Low grade cancer and treatment went well so have been trying to get on with my life.

I had a bone scan on Thursday that showed areas of increased activity on 2 different ribs. I'm beside myself with worry that the cancer has returned and in my bones. I have a young child that I fear I won't see grow up.

Has anyone else had this and it was nothing? Should I prepare myself for a terminal diagnosis? Can anyone help?

Love and hugs to you. I’m an ovarian cancer survivor, so I know all about tests and waiting. 💐

Thanks @Jeippinghmip, feels good speaking to someone that's been there. It just feels like I'm back to when I was first diagnosed but although that was bad it wasn't hopeless - this just feels like I'm about to be handed a death sentence. They need to do further tests but that could take 3-4 weeks to get an appointment!

I hope you're keeping well yourself x

I haven't experience myself, only a relative which I won't go into, but just wanted to wish you luck. Hopefully it's nothing.
