If you are eating a roast dinner what part do you eat first?

I know this is completely random but it occurred to me earlier that whenever I have a roast dinner I always start by eating the vegetables. Dp will eat some meat first, same as dd. Just wondered if anyone else always eats a particular part first ?

the roast potatoes with bits of the rest of the dinner (ie a bit of meat a bit of veg a bit of gravy) all scooped in together on my fork

A bit of everything/most things in every bite. There is no way I could ever eat things one at a time. I have no idea why I feel so strongly about this!

A bit of everything as in all food. I am odd though in that the vegetables are the main event for me. And I don’t like gravy.

Always veg first, then potatoes, then meat, then crackling/skin. Then I do it all over again Halloween Grin

This is how I eat all my meals actually, veg then carbs, then the best bits!

Me and dp argue about this constantly. I always eat my favourite bit of the dinner first when it’s nice and hot, whereas he says you should leave the beat bit til last. I don’t understand why you would do that? What if you were too full by the time you got to the best bit? Makes no sense.

@HalfBloodPrincess That has just reminded me of what my teenage boyfriend said about Rolos. You shouldn;t give someone your last rolo, you should give them your first because that is the tastiest and most anticipated Grin

I eat veg first then a mash up of meat and potatoes with yorkshire last.

I'll flit from veg to meat to roast potatoes and back again. I have stuffing with each forkful. I always make sure that my last mouthful is my favourite part - usually roast potato but if we have pork it's the crackling. I really fancy a roast now!
