American literature fans, what was the book about somebody working in a sausage making plant in the early 20th century?

Or a meat plant, one of those things. I just read about a new book on the New York Times website called the poison squad, it’s about the pioneering of food safety in the US around that time. I have bought it and intend to read it. I listened to that book as an audiobook a long time ago, and all I remember from it is when the guy fell into the meet. Sorry, I know that’s disgusting. But it reminded me of the book I just heard about. Anyway, does anybody remember what book it is? I think the authors name began with the J

It’s not “fast food nation” is it? I remember reading about the guy who fell in the meat in that book.

Book, I didn’t realize somebody had fallen in the meat in fast food nation. I haven’t read the book. I am intrigue now, how did they fall in the meet. I might just have to read it?

It’s years since I read it, but it definitely mentions the man who fell in the meat at a burger factory. It’s a really good book and rather puts you off any type of fast food.

Book, I passed McDonald’s the other day at Victoria Station, and the KFC, and everything else but I went for the Krispy Kreme doughnuts. I don’t know what goes into making those, but they taste very good. I have seen too many things about McDonald’s.

I think there is a documentary on it on YouTube, and if I remember correctly the man had a lot of problems with his health by the end of his experiment didn’t he? I will have to read that book.
