Stupid question about how to use buses in London

I often use overground trains and tube in London using Applepay on my phone, but I've never used a bus.

So two questions... firstly, do buses take Applepay?

Secondly, if I use a bus on the same day as using the underground, does the payment get grouped together? Or is it a new separate cost?

Thank you!

They take Apple Pay.

It’s a seierate cost but if you use the tube as well it’ll come under the cap for the day. Which is about ten pounds I think. As it’s all TFL travel.

Also if you take two buses in the space of an hour, you’re only charged for one journey.

Use Citymapper to get around London - it's good at telling you which bus stop you need.

And use the Bus Times app to see when the next bus is due to arrive at your stop.
