Have just watched the series on BBC catchup. Toni Collette is absolutely brilliant. But: She stays with her husband in the end?? That absolute turd who openly and humiliatingly rejects her sexual advances flat out when she tries so hard to save their relationship? Who is happy to lavish all his attention on his colleague after his wife is clearly desperate for him to acknowledge her?? Ugh, what an utter fucking disappointed of a series. Poor Joy. Worst ever ending. I’m outraged.
Disclaimer- I have not yet watched the final episode. I could see where it was heading and I thought surely not?? And had to google it. Which had totally put me off watching it!

Thanks for the spoiler Confused

WisdomSearcher · 20/10/2018 23:43

About to post the same as PP.

Thanks for that!!

MouseRatFan · 20/10/2018 23:44

Hmm

Please report yourself to HQ and get a spoiler warning in your title.

BlancheM · 20/10/2018 23:47

It isn't a spoiler if the series finished the other week is it?

CarpeVitam · 20/10/2018 23:56

🙄

SummersB · 21/10/2018 00:38

Eh? The series had finished and I’ve watched on catchup! So if I posted on something from Eastenders that happened last week would it be a spoiler Confused

OP posts:
DumptonPark · 21/10/2018 04:26

Of course it's still a spoiler. Not everyone will have watched it yet Hmm

retainertrainer · 21/10/2018 05:10

It’s not a spoiler if the series has finished. People should stay away from threads when they know others are ahead of them.

I’m watching killing eve. Only on episode 2. I wouldn’t click on a thread about it when I know it’s done and dusted.

It’s just common sense!

differentnameforthis · 21/10/2018 05:34

It isn't a spoiler if the series finished the other week is it? not eeryone has watched it though...I am only on the second ep. So yes, pretty much a spoiler.

differentnameforthis · 21/10/2018 05:35

Oh & I'm in Oz, so it's only just dropped on Netflix. So there's that...

BlancheM · 21/10/2018 09:54

Why would you click on a thread about something you haven't watched when you know the series has finished then?

MaryBoBary · 21/10/2018 10:20

I second the PP, if you haven’t finished watching it and don’t want a spoiler, why read the thread?

I agree OP, I was hoping she would be empowered to be on her own but sadly not.

PixelDust · 21/10/2018 10:38

Thanks for that !!

ReynoldsGirl · 21/10/2018 11:03

I agree, the series could have finished nicely at episode 5.
Number 6 seemed to be a step backwards and then ended up in the same place, I was very disappointed.

Even though I had found it very strange, I had enjoyed it up to then.

ShowOfHands · 21/10/2018 11:10

Well I didn't realise it was about the programme as it was in chat. Thought maybe the op's DH was claiming he needed to go and find himself.

It is a courtesy to put spoiler in the title with recent programmes. Or in the opening post.

differentnameforthis · 21/10/2018 12:04

Why would you click on a thread about something you haven't watched when you know the series has finished then? Erm..the small matter of being across the other side of the world and not knowing ...

and the thread could have been about any part of it, not a spoiler for the ending.

greendale17 · 21/10/2018 12:07

It is not a spoiler once a series has finished.

BlancheM · 21/10/2018 12:11

Different not knowing what? That if you don't want to risk reading about a show you're not up to date on, you shouldn't click on a thread titled the name of the show? Honestly!

DishranawaywiththeSpoon · 21/10/2018 12:13

A title that says "wanderlust WTF" is pretty obviously going to contain a spoiler.

DishranawaywiththeSpoon · 21/10/2018 12:14

I've given up on the show so clicked on this hoping I would learn the ending, I did and I've saved myself 2 hrs

alfiesmam · 21/10/2018 12:18

I actually didn’t realise it was about the TV Show until I clicked on it

Patroclus · 21/10/2018 13:11

'Spoiler!!' people are honestly starting to drive me insane. Had to deal with people moaning that I had 'spoiled' the Iliad (which we were meant to be studying) for them last week.

ShowOfHands · 21/10/2018 13:54

You can be one of two types of people. The one who kindly thinks "oh this programme aired v recently, so much so that it's still available on catchup so I'll make sure it's in tellyaddicts and mention the fact I'm going to discuss the ending either in the title or opening post". Or the person who thinks "fuck you, I've watched it, I'll bung it in chat with no spoiler alert because I can't conceive of any reason why people might not have seen the whole thing yet and I don't care jack shit about their enjoyment of a programme".

I'll accept a third type who makes a mistake and quickly gets MN to add a disclaimer.

But I expect the "Titanic sinks, Romeo dies ho ho ho" type shite people respond with on these threads.

I've never heard of Wanderlust btw Grin
