Do you know how much you spent last year? YNAB knows...

I've had the budgeting app YNAB for a year now so I've been able to review the reports. It tells me my total income and expenditure for the last year, broken down by all the categories I set up, so I can see how much I spent on food (£5k ish), diesel, bills, eating out, all sorts of things.
I love lists and spreadsheets so this has made me so happy! Will also be really helpful when applying for a mortgage in the future as I can tell them my expenses in detail.
Just wanted to share 😆

Ive paid for this and then got behind and forgot and didnt get into it!! I found it hard to get going.

I love the idea of end of year budget though!

No way. I don't need to pay my phone to tell me how much I spend

Gammeldragz · 20/10/2018 15:22

I've been looking forward to it for months! I got it cheap/free as I'm a student but after doing it for a year I can say it is well worth it. Not been overdrawn since I got it!
Managed to get DH on board and inputting everything as well, otherwise it wouldn't have worked. But I'm amazed we will stuck to it, have never managed to stick to any other budget/plan/system before.

I agree! Was so excited when I got to the 12 month mark

PS @Gammeldragz I think we may be the same person - I also got first year free as a student, have never stuck to any type of budget before, and also have not been into my overdraft once since using it! It's bloody brilliant, well done.

@meanieleanie ooh spooky! Shall we start a club?!
