Warm waterproof coat for DD

I’ve looked around and a lot seem to be just showerproof, or they are waterproof and not warm.

I don’t want to spend a fortune on basis she grows and grows and it’s mainly walking from childminders and back. She’s wearing about a 11-12 at the moment.

Her requirement is no furry collars, she hates them. Has anyone bought anything good?

What about a ski jacket for warm and waterproof? Decathlon is normally quite cheap.

Mountain warehouse or other outdoor shops have lots of 3 in 1 coats that have a waterproof outer and the detachable fleece on the inside. I also noticed that this year, none of the school coats are waterproof. Daft.

Sainsburys had some nice ones when we were there earlier (at least they did in the boys section I don't have DD's)

DD age 8 always has the Trespass Tiffy padded jacket. Comes in navy, purple, khaki and bubblegum pink (!) She's in year 4 now and has had one every year since reception. Prices seem to vary from £16 to £40 online depending on size and offers. Never had any problems getting it washed and dried. Hood is removable and not furry looking like roadkill
