I though it might be good to have a thread where people post about TV shows and films that they can't remember the name of, and other people can try and guess, and possibly add their own.
Mine is from probably 20 years ago or so, set in the 1950's, on BBC. It's about some children (maybe foster kids) and priests, possibly set in Liverpool. They're on a large boat at some point and two scenes stand out-
- A priest and a teenage boy are standing by a grave and it's raining. The priest puts his hand on the boys inner thigh. The boys pushes his hand off and runs away and the priest is left standing in the rain sobbing.
- An adult smacks a child round the head with a big yellow pole, rendering him deaf.
It's bothered me for years that I can't remember the name! Any more for any more?
