Who are your favourites?
I was at work today and the long version of Forever Autumn came on. I had to stop and listen to Richard Burton's voice. It's the same with the beginning of Under Milk Wood. "To begin at the beginning..." His voice makes me go brrrrrrrr!
Also Liam Neeson and Sean Bean. Their voices give me the galloping fanny gallops!! 😂 😂 😂 😂

Ian Richardson from UK House of Cards and Roger Allum.

For the Kevin Mcloud lovers - a friend, years ago,won a Design Competition for a chair, award presented by our Mr.K. And then, at the end of the Awards he announced that, exceptionally, the judging panel were awarding an overall prize for best in show that year..drumroll...My friend!
Her email to me read "I was snogged by Kevin Mcloud - twiceGrinGrinGrin

Deep on the dark side, tho, more shivers than goosebumps at the voices reading out numbers preceded by The Lincolnshire Poacher. Google Numbers Stations if you've not heard of themShock

On James Martin this am, he had a male singing group The Overtones. I had never heard of them, but one of them his such a rich bass voice I felt weak at the knees. Nice beard and earring too. Smile

Charles Grey, the actor (narrator in Rocky Horror Picture Show, etc.) He's no longer with us, but I'll probably never hear a voice like that again

BobbinThreadbare123 · 20/10/2018 20:54

Charles Dance. Christopher Lee. Spooky and dark!

fuffythings · 20/10/2018 21:02

Tom hardy 😍 when he read the bedtime story on CBeebies I melted into a slushy mush!

Danny dyer, there's something about a cockney accent that just does it for me 💦

LittleSwede · 20/10/2018 21:16

Nomnom, my DD absolutely loves Sarah and Duck and Roger Allum just makes it so much more bearable to have to watch (listen) to the same episodes over and over again. Lovely voice!

Cellardoor23 · 20/10/2018 23:00

Denis Farina. Especially from unsolved mysteries. His voice just made me want to fall asleep, it was so soothing. But then, I am quite sensitive to ASMR.

Happyinheels · 20/10/2018 23:00

Liam Neeson

And that Irish actor out of Cold Feet that plays Adam? 🤔

swoons a little

JaretsGirlfren · 20/10/2018 23:05

Cillian Murphy, bloody lovely

Honeyroar · 20/10/2018 23:05

A lot of these mentioned have deep, slow, animated voices. That's what I like too.

Alan Rickman.
Sir Patrick Stewart.
Martin Clunes.

(I met the last two and could've listened to them all day, they sounded so animated when they spoke).

I like a soft Scottish accent too.

Saffrone · 20/10/2018 23:09

Interesting!

Saw thread title & immediately thought Roger Allan, but would add Anthony Head & totally get PP's love of Bowie in China Girl, though I would add Wild Is The Wind, & continue with Josh Trojan in February Song, though admit that the latter are sung.

I do love Charlotte Rampling reading books as well & the actress who played Caroline Bone on the Archers.

nextdoorscatwantstomovein · 20/10/2018 23:13

Another vote for Neil Oliver here

adaisy1394 · 20/10/2018 23:20

Babybearsporij · 21/10/2018 00:29
