Greedy birds

Just moved into a house near a canal/lots of green areas (rural). We put out wild bird feeder (seeds in a squirrel proof feeder and suet balls). Getting loads of blue tits, great tits, robin, sparrow, greenfinch and have seen a Siskin. All good.

But my they are greedy. Having to refill the seeds every 2 days. Is this normal or do we just have greedy birds?

The pigeons are the greediest bird eaters we have here, I let them have their fill then shoo them off.

Gosh send some my way please! Nearly three weeks my fat balls have been out and not a single peck!

gosh no, we go through tons of seed in our garden, DH is a bird obsessed twitcher type and they are his pets, they get far more attention than I do and cost him a fortune!
