DFS - any good?

I need to take my Mum shopping for a new sofa. What's the quality like of DFS? Can anyone recommend, or suggest somewhere better?

Price is a factor, but she would prefer good quality to super cheap.

Currently sitting on our 8 year old dfs sofa. It's survived two house moves, 2 babies (now children) and various cats. It's obviously used but structurally there's nothing wrong with it.

Don't pay for the spill protection nonsense they try to sell you. Our cushion covers have been machine washed (they've had drinks and food spilled on them and occasionally been puked on) hundreds of times and there's nothing wrong with them.
