How long for suppository to work really constipated upset toddler

Gave him it 30 mins ago now and nothing yet :( cycling legs, water etc didn’t ask doctor how long it would take stupidly! Anything I can do to help him?

Have you given him a warm drink or soup or similar?

Also have you massaged his tummy to move the contents of his bowel along?

With DS 1 when he was a baby it worked within minutes.
With DS2 when he was a baby it did nothing.
We used Microlax in the end. And once that had passed, kept on top of it with Movicol.

We have had big problems with constipation in the past. Suppositories never helped us. I think they are meant to work in 30 mins.

Try the ERIC helpline. They were unbelievably helpful when my DS had a bowel impaction.
