Tub of powdered formula at airport

Can I take an unopened tub of powered formula through airport security? My LO prefers the powder to ready mades which I have a few of but it’s easier to just take a tub if I can.

You can also buy formula at the Boots shop in the departure lounge.

My DD ordered some online to be picked up at the airport and it worked perfectly.

Be prepared for them to test it. My mum always carries a small container of baby powder with her (don’t ask!) when she travels. She asked me “what the man is doing to it?”. Checking it’s not cocaine mum, was the answer! She was mortified until I explained she would make the perfect drug mule, no one would ever suspect her.

I carried open powder in one of those segmented pots and boiled water through Gatwick in April, they just scan it.

But as a PP has said it's very easy and convenient to order it from boots and it doesn't contribute towards your weight allowance at all then.

Where are you flying to?
US and Australia, I believe, are restricting powders too. Just check before you fly if the rules have changed (although you could be going tomorrow, at which point, the UK is fine!)

Thanks I fly in the EU tomorrow, I have an order of ready made’s waiting at boots and was going to put the tub in the hold but could do with the extra space if I can carry it through.
