I just made a microwave mug cake (in a bowl) and it was superb.

I'm due on my period and needed a quick way to inhale carbs sugar, fat and cocoa powder. I remembered the recipe so gave it a go. I only have normal sized mugs so decided to use a cereal bowl. (Which was handy because they dont half rise!).
It was immense and would easily do two people. I had mine with velvety Greek yoghurt.

No photo.Blush I could post a photo of the empty bowl? Grin
Recipe is so easy. 4 tablespoon of self raising flour 4 tablespoons of caster sugar 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder and half teaspoon.salt. Mix together. Add one egg. Mix together. Now add 4 tablespoons of oil (not olive) or melted butter. 4 tablespoons of milk. Mix until smooth. Microwave for 2 mins or until firm and risen. Like I said I did this in a bowl and it filled it pretty well. I think a mug may overflow. Or you could split it between 2 mugs? It's never going to beat an oven baked cake but it's fab for a spur of the moment thingy.
