just wondering what yous think if i was to write a few little silly stories about me my partner and our dog in the style of sherlock holmes (his fav book)

Good or proper shit present?

And if i was to do this, how on earth would i get it turned into a book?

Only you really know whether he will think it is funny or not.
You could type it into a photobook like snapfish.

Socksandshoes I suppose you are right - i mean he normally finds me funny and i think i could do a good job, i just don't know whether it will be seen as a crap present, a lot of time will be spent doing it, and if it was all for him to think i'm super lame, soppy and very silly, which is how i might feel and i know i would be so upset if he thought that cos i'm so soft! i think i would love it if he did it for me

I would feel like it was a bit much of my partner spent hours doing this for me. Also I would be annoyed that he spent hours on that rather than just doing something fun with me. Only you know your partner though.

We're pretty spoilt, able to go away 2/4 weekends mostly if not 3/4, and spend most evenings together. we've been together 3 years now, and i just feel like i've bought him all the flash presents, we do all the awesome things all the time, so i want to do something i dunno different i suppose! SleepingStandingUp We have started to read the Sherlock Holmes Novels on an evening, I will read to him, him to me as time spent relaxing. And Sherlock is what i'm going to base it on..

"The adventures of (him), (me) and (the dog)"

And with my knowledge (well little but love the stories and have read all the novels and stories) of Conan Doyle and his writings, I'm hoping to base it on that, but with our own ridiculous trials and tribulations as comedy.

Exactly, I would. If i look at it as if someone did this for me, I would love it, but i know he's a bloke, he's a busy bloke, and I'm more scared of my ego being pinched I think! I think i'm just gonna go for it! Might start tonight! I've always wanted to write a book!
