Quickest passport ever?

I have just received in the post the renewed passport that I only applied for online on Tuesday at 4:30pm! That’s under 48 hours from pressing the go button and I had a new photo. I both delighted and slightly alarmed at how easy it was.

Handed forms in on the Monday for a first passport, it arrived on the Thursday. Not too shoddy for a first one, but you’ve got me beaten! :o

Apologies, no idea what happened there!

I just did mine and it was fast

However they would not send me out the new passport until they had received my old one.

Mine was with me about a week after I'd mailed out my old passport.

I have visions or rows of passport office workers getting board as thejob is so quick now!

Did you send your old one in?

Checked at post office mid- late afternoon on Monday, arrived Wednesday morning 😳

I got mine relatively quickly - I requested Wednesday and posted passport on the Wednesday - which they received on the Thursday 11.05
New passport was back in the post to me Thursday 18.12, but I didnt get it until the Monday.

Yes I had to send the old passport. Went into post Tuesday 5pm post. Must have reached the passport office the next day (wed) and had new passport posted to catch the wed post. Reached me on Thurs am. Perfect!
