Wants to really get into baking. He watched the whole lot in 2 days and Iv never seen him so interested in something! He’s asked me to teach him to bake. We are making Terry’s chocolate orange cupcakes for his dad this weekend.

What else can we make? I want to follow it up because honestly he’s not into anything other than his Xbox!

this confused me. You dont mean the early naughties lesbian drama?

SinisterClownWatchingYou · 17/10/2018 22:15

Noughties Shock

RollyCow · 17/10/2018 22:16

Ha ha @SinisterClownWatchingYou I thought that too 😂

LadyPenelopeCantDance · 17/10/2018 22:17

I thought the same too Blush

GreenDinosaur · 17/10/2018 22:17

Me too, that was awesome!

Never heard of the baking thing, doesn't sound as good tbh...

Mummysharkdoodoodoo · 17/10/2018 22:18

Can you look at Halloween recipes nearer the time?

You could create a layered cale with different sponges in the mean time.

GreenDinosaur · 17/10/2018 22:18

I thought from the title you were going to say he now identifies as a lesbian Grin

GreenDinosaur · 17/10/2018 22:19

Bit much at 9!

MarcieBluebell · 17/10/2018 22:19

I also first thought that!

Timeforabiscuit · 17/10/2018 22:19

No - its on netflix, dds are similarly hooked!

Fluffy american pancakes are a good one, flapjacks, cheese scones - all easy to make and you dont get flops!

Dd is still wanting to make a croquembouche - but my choux pastry is shite.

ProudThrilledHappy · 17/10/2018 22:20

If you need taste testers I’m happy to pm my address. Sacrificial lamb and all that... Grin

GreenDinosaur · 17/10/2018 22:21

Marble cakes are fun, lots of food colouring and swirl it about to make exciting sponge cakes.

You could buy some cutters online to make biscuits, I bet they make minecraft ones or fortnight or whatever he's into!

Sitranced · 17/10/2018 22:32

Ooh, yeah I thought you meant the ch4 programme.

implantsandaDyson · 17/10/2018 23:36

My kids love it too Grin. Unfortunately hasn't resulted in any baking endeavours.
Fifteen are firm faves in our house. They're quick, easy and don't require an oven which is pitched perfectly at my baking interest.
