Hi, me and my partner have been ttc for 13months now, I had a missed miscarriage at 10weeks in Sep 2017. We have two beautiful children 1girl who is 7 and 1boy who is 5 conceived easy with no complications. Had my first smear in April this year results came back severe dyskariosis (cin3) referred to colposcopy had lletz procedure done in May told all abnormal cells were removed from cervix and to have a repeat smear and hpv testing 6months after wich will be next month. Took clomid from a friend who had a spare box she got prescribed ..50mg on cycle days 3-7 and now on cycle day 45 and no period so went to doctors for a blood test to see if pregnant but results were negative haven't told them I took clomid my period cycles vary between 25-33days.. been having pelvic pain and some cramping similar to the pain I had before my smear wich is why I had it 3months early before turning 25. Am just wondering if anyone could give me some advice or share a similar story .. i am waiting for doctor to ring me tomorrow to see next steps he mentioned more blood tests to check hormone levels.. Am wondering how to get my period back am very worried Thanks

I'm confused - why did you take the clomid?

dani25danielle · 17/10/2018 21:26

I took clomid to help with ovulation as in previos months opks have been negative so didnt think i have been ovulating when am supposed to be .. I am needing my periods to be regular too as clomid can help give a normal cycle i have been ttc for 13month and considered all the side effects etc of taking clomid.

But if you've not been prescribed it and you're under observation? I just don't follow.

I'm not under observation I took myself to the doctors after taking clomid to ask for a blood test to see if I was pregnant and now asking for further tests to check hormone levels and to help me and my partner with fertility

You’d be better being honest with your real gp; theres a reason clomid is prescribed and monitored, and the side effects watched. Theres probably a reason why your period is missing, but they can only investigate that with the full facts, and give you what you actually need to kick start your cycle, not a fertility drug.

Ok thank you I was going to mention it tomorrow when speaking to my doctor
