Ours is known by his nickname of ‘The beast’. Go on the Dalmatian UK Facebook page for inspiration.

iklboo · 17/10/2018 20:43

Zadar (it's a place on the Dalmatian coast apparently)

GrowThroughWhatYouGoThrough · 17/10/2018 20:45

strawberrypenguin · 17/10/2018 20:48

Perdita (the liver spotted Dalmatian of 101)

CherryPavlova · 17/10/2018 20:55

You do have experience of Dalmatians? They are very high need dogs, generally.

poorpaws · 17/10/2018 20:57

Stripe 😀

chipsandpeas · 17/10/2018 20:58

i know you said no D names but Dot would be my choice

GrowThroughWhatYouGoThrough · 17/10/2018 20:58

We've not had a Dalmatian before but have done our homework. We have 2 other dogs so not a complete novice also there is always someone in our house so we feel now would be a good time to introduce one. Plus a lot of dog friendly walking areas near by

I once knew a Dalmatian called Zebra. Too weird?

GrowThroughWhatYouGoThrough · 17/10/2018 20:59

We have a dolly so a dolly and dot may be confusing 😂

Spot?

Sweetooth92 · 17/10/2018 21:07

Lovely dogs but seriously hard work.
Mine is called Maisie-she was a rescue so already had her name but suits her well . She’s the absolute apple of my eye but so needy! Insists on sitting on my knee, sleeps in bed under the covers & adores shredding the post 🙄 she’s a sweetheart with my baby son though. Make sure the hearing tests have been done comprehensively before you take one home. Deafness is very common and can be mistaken for naughtiness and so on.

CherryPavlova · 17/10/2018 21:07

Excellent. People (like us) take one on not realising they need three hours as the baseline on exercise and an hour of that has to be running or equivalent. It came as a shock but luckily my husband runs daily.

Ours is very clingy and hates being away from us, so our life changed completely because we now only go to dog friendly restaurants. He can’t really be left at home. We’ve done in his cage for a couple of hours but that’s about it. Quite a tie.

CherryPavlova · 17/10/2018 21:08

He’s very handsome though!

The hearing test is being done this week. We are going next Thursday to see the litter and all the paperwork with a view of he/she being ready to come home in the 2nd week of November
