Our DS started school in Sept and I am loving the interaction we are able to have - attending harvest festival, school disco, family sharing... We have also been invited for a stay and play session AM or PM where we join our child in class for the session.
DS has generally never been upset when I leave him at nursery/home with DH/at GP's.... but since starting school, whilst he rushes into class, he has got upset when the harvest festival finished as we left and he stayed in school, when I have left him at home with DH and also at my parents.
My time slot has arrived for the stay and play session and it is in the morning. Great - school run and session done in one. But then I thought about his upsets when I have left him and thought might the afternoon session be better? That way I am arriving then taking him away with me?
I don't doubt this has took a lot of organising by the school and I feel like an arse if I ring and ask to change it. In some ways my mind says DS will just have to learn to deal with it but then another the soft side of me doesn't want him upset at school.
