Causes of hot flushes?

I am off to the docs this afternoon as I range from boiling hot - think tshirt and shorts in the winter to pouring with sweat within minutes.

This morning I had trousers and a cotton top on. I was really cold. Put a thin fleece blanket on and was pouring with sweat within a few minutes.

Currently sat at work with the windows open as I'm sweating. Soon, no doubt I'll be really chilly and need to put my fleece on.

I am fed up of this. It's been happening for ages.

I have an underactive thyroid (under control) and M.E. I'm only 31

Went to gp today and as im 47 no period for 7months he said im in the menopause

Great i thought hrt blood test,they now wont do blood tests for this if ur over 46 ffs,cant have hrt because im overweight,smoke and have had DVT recently

Im currently on a bus and sweating where i can feel it on my face dripping,good job i have a scarf

Im not saying your peri menapasal but how are your periods etc,how do you feel day to day?

whatsthestory123 I don;t have them as I'm on the depo injection. I went through puberty very early though (aged 9) so have always wondered if I'll bookend it with an early menopause. My mum is currently going through the menopause and you should hear the pair of us saying about us pouring with sweat....!

ive just got back home and first thing was change into my t shirt,lol

could it be your thyroid,sorry i dont know much about that
