I've got the feeling of a hair trapped in the back of my mouth, into my throat. I can't find it using my fingers and it's making me feel sick/gag 🤢 I've tried drinking water to shift it. It's not working! HELP!!!!!

Bread

Yep bread, cool drinks. Can you think of anything it could be e.g. fish bone?

TokyoSushi · 16/10/2018 23:16

Yes, bread!

cucumbergin · 16/10/2018 23:16

Do you think there's actually a hair still there or is your throat just irritated? I found recently when I've had a cold/cough that eating a slice of toast scrapes the back of my throat enough to get rid of the irritation.

A fizzy drink works really well or brush your teeth and gently drank the brush over the affected area. I’m a dog sitter, so I feel your pain 🤢

This happened to me years ago- a hair got wrapped round my tonsil. Was there for days, couldn’t get rid of it. It eventually went of it’s own accord. You have my sympathy- it feels horrid!

Sometimes when I've got that feeling it can be the start of a sore throat or cold

HelpHelpHelpp · 16/10/2018 23:36

Okay, I've tried bread and a load of crisps!!! and fizzy juice. I've brushed my teeth too. I can still feel it Sad

Marshmallows or a thick milkshake.

Have you got some sort of nose spray in the house? I’ve had the feeling of something stuck in my throat before that has turned out to be post-nasal drip. I’d give something decongesting a try if the other things aren’t working.

Anyone out there I’m so scared. I have a long hair stuck in my tonsil and it keeps making me gag. This has been going on for 2 days now.
