Butlins or haven with a 6 year olds?

Looking to book for next year to take DC will be 6. Which one would you recommend and why?

Completely depends on location. We regularly go to the Havens in Norfolk and you get what you pay for - it's a bit naff and tacky but kids love it.

Butlins. There's SO much to do it's ridiculous.

Haven there's precisely chuff all to do.

Butlins. Never stuck for something to do and most is included in the price. DCs love it there.

Butlins lots to do, really good pool , free fair. Go to Skegness though, Bognor is rubbish.

Depends what you're looking for really...

We like the Havens we've been to as we're not big on arcades and "entertainment" but like a pool and some activities and to go off site as well!

Never been to Butlins, but we go to Haven a lot and have always had a great time.
Plenty to do!
Swimming, activities, arcades, entertainment, and stay at one next to a beach and you've got beach activities as well.

Just been to haven. Accommodation amazing but not much to do really! Evening entertainment was absolutely dire and everything very expensive.

Butlins minehead! The best place to take kids on holiday.

My 2 are 17 and 13 and still want to go there over anywhere else. They’ve got so many happy memories of family holidays there.

It’s always worth looking at booking a private caravan hire at Butlins, they still have everything included but are often a bit cheaper and means you can have a bit more space than the apartments give you. Take a look at Ukcaravans4hire.

Surely it depends on the child and what you want from the holiday?

For us haven is perfect, butlins would risk being too intense.

It depends on what you want from your holiday. We do Haven a lot but use it a base doing the odd activity there and plus use the pool. We’ve had some lovely holidays at the Scottish ones and explored the area

But if you’re more after a holiday based on site Haven could be a tad dull after a day or so

Butlins is Amazeballs! We all enjoyed it with our 2 yr olds this year. Accommodation fab. Daily housekeeping, masses to do. Quiet stuff noisy stuff. We did self catering but mixed eating in and out.

Minehead was great but Bognors new pool is opening after Easter next year so that'll be brill.

We also quite like a park dean holiday too! I think that's more like a Haven.
