In this Facebook group for parents of my town, the admin person posted this. People are commenting with their childrens names and the admin is giving each one a score from the list. Why would anyone think this was a good idea??!

Yes - off of made my eyes recoil in distress too! It is a bit odd - anyone can look up their own child’s name should they want to do so. I wonder if this person is a bit bored?

They seem to be saying it as if it’s a good thing to have a “unique” name. If no one else uses it, chances are it’s weird/setting your child up for a lifetime of “i know parents eh”
