Is there a version of mine craft for the Amazon kindle fire?

I've just ordered a kindle fire for my son's Xmas present- with the intention of downloading mine craft onto it.

I'm now panicking though, as I can't find a clear answer on the internet- is there a compatible version of mine craft for the amazon kindle fire?

You might need to sideload the Google play store if you can't get it on the app store.

Search for it on Amazon - if's its available it will be on there as an app.

If you are using Kindle fire without child restrictions it should be fine. I vaguely recall we had problems with Minecraft story mode because we bought it but you can't buy in-app purchases on a kid's kindle with kid restrictions on.

Pretty sure it's on the Amazon app store, I remember my DS asking for it!
