In the park! Small, fluffy and adorable!

Passing driver even wound his window down to comment Grin

Oh wow, Ive never ever seen one.

Spam88 · 15/10/2018 21:43

I saw a dead one once and it was bloody massive. Like large dog size.

MrsTommyBanks · 15/10/2018 21:45

I'm jealous. I've never seen one.

ForalltheSaints · 15/10/2018 21:45

They are lovely creatures- I had one in the back garden of a house I lived in about 25 years ago.

Reminds me that we should never be having a badger cull.

RonniePickering · 15/10/2018 21:45

Aww I've never seen a badger!

Saw my first fox last year, was so surprised how small and almost cat-like it was.

Wolfiefan · 15/10/2018 21:48

We used to have a black and white cat years ago. DH spotted a black and white body at the back door one evening and went to let the cat in. Thankfully he realised the cat was in before he opened the door for the badger.
Stunning creatures. But I wouldn’t want to have one in the house! Shock

fatbottomgirl67 · 15/10/2018 21:49

I'm amazed so few people have seen a badger. They are so common where we live

ThomasHardyPerennial · 15/10/2018 21:53

Have seen so many dead ones over the last few weeks, this has cheered me right up!

CherryPavlova · 15/10/2018 21:56

Ghastly vicious animals; completely trashed our garden and killed our cat. Cause havoc if you bump your car into one. Lots of dead ones on the roads near us at moment.

whojamaflip · 15/10/2018 21:56

I remember the first time I saw a badger - I was so disappointed the stripes didn't go all the way down its back Blush too many illustrated stories as a child I think Blush

SneakyGremlins · 15/10/2018 21:59

I thought the same about the stripes Shock

They eat hedgehogs.

Northumberlandlass · 15/10/2018 22:06

I was once driving back from a wedding in rural Northumberland on a single track road in the middle of the night... 2 badgers having an evening stroll, they were huge! I ended up following them for ages, driving so so slowly! Eventually they took a right into a field!

They are amazing creatures! I usually see dead ones on the edge of dual carriage way now...wouldn’t want to hit one at full speed. It would do some damage!

DramaAlpaca · 15/10/2018 22:09

There are loads where I live, but I've only ever seen them after they've been killed on the roads. I'd love to see a live one.

PerspicaciaTick · 15/10/2018 22:10

I love badger and see far too many dead ones. However, small, fluffy and adorable are not words I would ever use to describe one.

Taffeta · 15/10/2018 22:19

I was driving along a rural road this summer at around midnight when a massive one slowly lolloped over the road

It was very big and very slow Grin

My son was staying a couple of years ago and noticed one on the patio one evening. Since then I have put out peanuts and/or badger pellets each night, and they are regular visitors.
