Sexiest subject today: M&S tights

I bought some 60 denier ones last winter and they got holes in the toes almost right away. So I stitched them up, thinking my toes were really pointy or something but they just kept getting holes in.

Bought some last week and on the first wear of each pair the same fucking thing has happened again.

I don’t have very sharp toenails or anything. In fact, I have stubby little hooves.

Anyone else finding this? Or is it just m&s in general going down the shitter?

You need to show us your toenails, so we can judge fairly

I thought your title said sexist ... I wasn’t sure how tights could be sexist! Grin

ASauvignonADay · 15/10/2018 20:28

I also have this problem! It's ridiculous because they don't hole anywhere else, only in the toes!

travailtotravel · 15/10/2018 20:29

Tights drive me mad doing this. It's not just you.

RogerAllamsFangirl · 15/10/2018 20:29

Do you have a long second toe? I do and it always makes a hole in my tights, especially if I wear heels, because then the weight's pushed towards the toes. Agree M&S ones are bad for this.

I thought it was a thread about sexist tights too!
I have to say that primark tights have been just as good as any others, especially the 3 for £5 ones.

ShirleyPhallus · 15/10/2018 20:39

I promise you I don’t have long toes!

Stand by for me to find a picture of the stubs

I also read “sexist tights”.

I think the proliferation of such threads on Mumsnet have got into my brain!

Stompythedinosaur · 15/10/2018 20:59

Have you ever thought about trying snag tights? They have changed my tight buying habits for life. Get them online, they come quickly, have a better fitting system and are much better quality.

MichonnesBBF · 15/10/2018 21:01

Yup I too read it as sexist tights

ShirleyPhallus · 15/10/2018 21:09

Glad to hear I’m not alone with this issue!

Stompy they look good but are they worth the price? I don’t have any issue with normal sized tights, just the blasted toes that are the problem

I actually love M&S ones for being so long in the body. Like it when they come up to under my bra

I have this problem with M&S tights too, which is a pain because I really like the cotton rich Autograph ones. It’s usually only the left foot, too.

One year I bought several pairs of their thermal tights and the toe went on the second wear. Had to argue for a refund.
