Holidaying after A Levels where are yours going?

My poor niece is under the illusion you can go to Ibiza for two weeks for £300. Obviously first holiday without parents. She’s mentioned Sunny Beach there’s 8 of them. I said I’d have a look and help pay. I’m just remembering us going to a Turkey before people were really going there on packages it was really cheap and fun. Ive also done Magaluf but that’s another story.

Well Sunny Beach is in Bulgaria for a start. She might get a flight and a share of an apartment or a cheap and cheerful SC/BB package in a cheap location like Sunny Beach or Benidorm for £300 outside the school holidays, but it won't include meals, drinks, club entry etc and Ibiza is quite to very expensive.

Can they cut the time down to a week to 10 days? But they need to think about what they want to do and maybe save more for spending money, because if they want to go to all the clubs in Ibiza, it'll be more like £300 a night, not the whole thing (well not quite, but club entry can be £30-50 plus and drinks 10 euros or more).

DS1 went to Malia about 5 or 6 years ago. By the time he'd paid for the flights, accommodation, food and spending money for the week it cost him about £1k. As soon as he was home he said it was the biggest waste of money ever and he wished he had never gone. So much so that he completely talked DS2 out of going away with his friends.

My DD and a mate are going to Japan! She’s saved the money herself.

Wow that is a big holiday!! Sadly my niece isn’t as cultured and is basing everything on The Inbetweeners! She doesn’t even drink —unlike me at that age—

DS is also going to Japan.

DS1 went to a rock festival in Belgium with some friends. They travelled there by coach. It was far too hot (in the middle of a heatwave) but otherwise he had a good time.

His girlfriend is doing her A-levels next summer and a group of them are planning to go to Ayia Napa.

Back in the dark ages, when I finished a levels, I went with two friends to the Channel Islands. Stayed for two weeks in her granddads HUGE house, with housekeeper and pool. We were spoilt rotten. It was brilliant.
