I do wonder why Harry has so much sadness in his eyes recently though?

maybe because this is another event in his life his mum wont be here for xx

AnonaMouse1 · 15/10/2018 10:38

Invictus games? Doing oh would take focus off them

I had no idea it was happening maybe it would put some spotlight on them!

carnitine · 15/10/2018 10:41

That is a pretty hectic schedule for someone in early stages of pregnancy, she will be exhausted.

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 15/10/2018 10:44

I doubt they announced at the end of baby loss week to be deliberately hurtful, they may not have been aware that it was.

And what about any else announcing their new during this time? Are they all wrong too?

itsallgravybaby · 15/10/2018 10:50

Yeah I don't think it was purposely hurtful - without meaning to sound insensitive there's always a "National X Day", and I'm sure the women and men that have lost children will be equally hurt any other day

It's great news, pleased for them it's obviously happened quite quickly. Re timing it actually looks like they've had to wait longer to allow for Eugenie's wedding, but the tour has forced the announcement now. Fair enough, what else can they do if a Zika country is on the agenda?

Anyway, I think girl, named Olivia Alexandra Frances 👍

ThanksItHasPockets · 15/10/2018 11:07

I completely sympathise with the rawness at the end of BLAW but they really haven’t hijacked the date. Their hand has been forced. If they had announced any sooner it would have overshadowed the wedding last week; they’re now on tour and being followed by press all day in a way that would make concealing a bump impossible. The announcement ends the speculation.

ThanksItHasPockets · 15/10/2018 11:08

They are still apparently planning to go to the areas with Zika on their itinerary.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 15/10/2018 11:26

Is there anything actually confirming this, do you know, as opposed to third hand reports?

Call me dense, but I honestly can't believe they'd take the risk ...

tillytrotter1 · 15/10/2018 11:40

When you say 'announced it' at the wedding, they probably told HM, Philip and Charles quiety, maybe Eugenie, they wouldn't have stood up during the speeches and told all that shower otherwise it would have been known days ago. With such a long trip they had no choice.

tillytrotter1 · 15/10/2018 11:41

to be called Oaf all through school!

GreyPJs · 15/10/2018 11:42

@specialsubject Actually, she announced it to the family at the wedding. Which is outstandingly rude!!

SillySallySingsSongs · 15/10/2018 11:43

When you say 'announced it' at the wedding, they probably told HM, Philip and Charles quietly

They will have already known, probably not long after Harry and Meghan did. Protocol, logistics and numerous other reasons, would mean they would have to.

GreyPJs · 15/10/2018 11:44

Why would she have to refuse alcohol? The research says small amounts are absolutely fine.

lifechangesforever · 15/10/2018 11:44

Sky News confirms that they are still visiting Tonga & Fiji and have taken all medical advice into considers and there are no changes to the itinerary.

Wauden · 15/10/2018 11:45

I bet the baby/toddler and on, will be good looking. Happy for Harry, too. Bet they will be good parents. [santa]

8misskitty8 · 15/10/2018 11:52

The queen etc. Will have been told weeks ago about the pregnancy.

At the wedding it would have been the minor royals in private, not a big showy announcement. Considering the amount of people at the wedding any announcement would have leaked out within minutes !

Meghan mum came over last month which is probably when she was told. It was also explain why Thomas markle has been so quiet recently.

fuzzywuzzy · 15/10/2018 11:55

She’d refuse alcohol because every single newly pregnant woman who I’ve ever come across and who has posted on here tend to stop drinking completely during early pregnancy.

She’s not unusual or alone in this.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 15/10/2018 11:58

Wait ..... Wink

Wonderful news!

PennyMordauntsLadyBrain · 15/10/2018 12:02

Really hope her sister and father don't put a dampener on the announcement by doing another spread with the DM

Livinglavidal0ca · 15/10/2018 12:08

It's so lovely and great news. Does anyone else reckon they don't conceive naturally in the royal family? I read something about them having to wait 8 weeks to conceive after marriage incase of a premee baby so that makes it 8 weeks plus 12 weeks of healthy pregnancy to make sure everything is okay which is exactly since their wedding.

shirleyschmidt · 15/10/2018 12:30

@tillytrotter1 LOL didn't notice that, hopefully they will 😂

Bouledeneige · 15/10/2018 12:34

Well I suppose its good news for any couple.

But I've got to agree with Lastname I'm not sure Harry looks that happy since getting married. He doesn't seem to be his usual ebullient self. A bit sad. I keep thinking he knows he's made the wrong choice of partner. Witness the eye roll at him by MM at the wedding - its subtle but it looks like she treats him like a child.

Sorry!
