Now I can’t go on my own thread.

YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE.

Proper palpitations.

That’s true! I think that’s my favourite noise ever. Never fails to make me smile. Though sometimes one of mine struggles and sounds like a wee asthmatic old man. He's healthy as a horse, just can’t get the sounds out!

OP posts:
Wolfiefan · 14/10/2018 23:38

It’s a physical impossibility to meet New Guinea pigs and not make the noise.
Or is that just me? Blush

OvO · 14/10/2018 23:39

Annie, I’ve no idea what breed he is as he doesn’t quite match up to any I’ve seen either.

Girl, mine hate kale but will sell their soul for parsley! Their affections are very easily bought.

Ah piggies! I LOVE piggies - cob shaped little furry bundles of cuddles. Here is one of our girls (now departed Sad) after her bath. She loved being bathed, brushed and having special piggy footcream massaged in. She'd stick her feet out for me to do it Smile.

You FUCKERS
OvO · 14/10/2018 23:40

Well it’d be rude not to, Wolfie!

TheGirlWhoLived · 14/10/2018 23:41

These aren’t at all into parsley, very uninterested! They are gluttons for carrot but I know it’s sugary so they’ve only had a teeny bit.... courgette goes down a treat! They are getting through hay like nothing else though- not sure where they’re putting it! This is merlin but he doesn’t really like the kids 😊 he prefers it to be me and him watching this morning as you can see

Wolfiefan · 14/10/2018 23:42

Phew. I wondered if it was presumptuous to chat like that. Blush

safariboot · 14/10/2018 23:42

And now that tarantulas song is going through my head.

Sorry OvO!

OvO · 14/10/2018 23:42

Heman, she’s a fluffy bundle of goodness! ❤️
I can’t believe she would let you massag her feet! I’d lose a finger! They give me The Look if I so much as accidentally brush past their feet.

We had one that never squeaked until his last breath . We cuddled him as he died (he'd been to the vet that morning but didn't rally) .

As I moved him a bit to stop him slipping he went "Wheeeeek" and that was it. Really weird.

Has anyone got a Singing Guinea? They chirp like a bird .
On of mine chirped hours before she died , but it's not always a sign of doom. Our present boar sat in his garden run just chirping for a good couple of minutes .
Then one of them (I have 3) started singing away last winter in the small bedroom.

They are the loveliest but noisiest little things.

OvO · 14/10/2018 23:45

Merlin looks like a very intelligent pig! I can tell these things.

Wolfie, when I wheek at mine I wonder if I actually every say something they understand. It’s such a stupid thought! But what if I hit just the right notes and manage to say mmm this hay is tasty? I’m a big to obsessed with them. 😂

Safari, I don’t know the song you mean, thankfully!

People on Mumsnet can be proper cunts! Oh whats that, you don't like [insert object/item/thing]? Here's eleventy billion photos of it, because fuck your feelings. Ugh.

OvO · 14/10/2018 23:48

Oh, 70, your little piggy. Sad. He was saying goodbye, I absolutely believe that. I’m the sappiest person even since getting my pigs.

Neither of mine sing but I’ve seen/heard in on YouTube and it was amazing and weird! Mine either wheek or make Get Away From My Spot sounds at each other!

One of our girls is the squeaky food summoner .
We chat to them "Hello pigs d'you want some brekkie" > chorus of squeaks.

She now likes pootling round under the fleece when we put the new one down , it;s like one of the scenes in The Mummy with the scarab beetle under his skin.
Not as bad as spiders under the skin though Wink

HemanOrSheRa · 14/10/2018 23:49

She was a little darling. She loved snuggling right up close to DS's face and staring into his eyes with her paws on his chin. She'd stick her feet out for claw trimming too. Her name was Miss Sugar Smile. The other one was a little more feisty Grin.

OvO · 14/10/2018 23:49

Princess, I did think it weird that people did that but I think some were people just not thinking and no malice intended. But there’s always one that posts with a gleeful meanness.

OP posts:
Wolfiefan · 14/10/2018 23:51

I don’t even have pigs of my own yet I wonder the same thing!

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 14/10/2018 23:52

One of our girls definately said goodbye - she was unwell (again having vet treatment but we 'knew' ) DH was working from home and kept checking her.

She was alive when DD got home from school , then 5 minutes later... gone .

That's the wprst thing, you never get used to them going (we're onto GP6/GP7/GP8 , my garden is like a Pet Semetary !)

OvO · 14/10/2018 23:52

70, one of my boys loves under the blanket running too. It’s like something from alien. Grin

Heman, she sounds fab! My little brown haired pig likes to stare at me soulfully. I swear no one has ever looked at me more adoringly!

OP posts:
OvO · 14/10/2018 23:54

I’ve already cried at the thought of them dieing. Blush. I’m so not a crier usually. Pets really do steal your heart. I didn’t get all the pets threads on MN before but now I do.

HemanOrSheRa · 14/10/2018 23:59

God don't OvO. When our piggies died (not at the same time) I was so distressed that I took to my bed. It was dreadful.

My little dog is 9 years old and I make myself cry sometimes thinking about her going Blush. Usually when I'm driving around in the car with her. She's sat in the front passenger seat and we are just together, singing and talking. Then it hits me that she won't always be here. I'm a wet eyed old fool.

OvO · 15/10/2018 00:03

I’ll be back soon, just need to go give my boys some parsley...

😭😭😭

Everyone says they hate spiders. I think people were just feeling your pain, I’m sure they didn’t realise that you don’t eve on like pictures of spiders. Grin

I literally just read your other thread. I posted on it but I don’t keep pictures of spiders!

Here’s a picture of my beautiful dog to cheer you up. He cheers me up. I don’t know how he feels about spiders.

You FUCKERS

WTFIsAGleepglorp THANKS SO MUCH FOR THE VIDEO!!!!

Loving the Scottish Granny!

OvO · 15/10/2018 00:17

Your dog totally looks like Sherlock Holmes in dog form! Shock
As such he’d be smart and distrust spiders.
