Books - suggested reading lists (for adults)

Hello, am putting this in Chat as none of the categories in the Books topic seem quite right for my question.

I'm on the look out for links to those reading lists that make a good place to start for people to widen their reading. You see them online on FB (and I think I might even have seen on or two on Mumsnet) often around the New Year. You know the sort of thing, read a book

1. from the 19th Century
2. that you started but never finished
3. that you last read when you were a teenager
4. that was originally written in a foreign language
5. that was given to you as a gift but you've never read

etc, etc.

I've got so many books I want to read, new and classics, and I don't know where to start!
