I'm in a job that's costing a small fortune to get to .. I need to leave , not that particularly keen on it to be honest , and get something closer to home..
Had a trial on Friday for a job , I thought I worked really hard , I enjoyed it , I didn't stop, one of the co-workers said I was doing well and really mucking in ... It was very busy ... I got in touch with the boss that evening saying thanks for the opportunity and I'd welcome feedback .. he said he would be in touch soon ....
How long would I wait before I apply for another job ( it's sort of second in line hopefully , but wanted to get this one ideally as the hours suit and it's nearer home) ... I was thinking if I haven't heard by this coming Friday then I'll go with the second one ... Would this be fair do you think ?

Apply as soon as you like!

You can always pull out of an application if you get the trial job.
