Please help! I've got 2 weeks until pay day and am skint - please could you give me ideas for very cheap but healthy meals as I'm trying to loose weight as well. I've got £25 but luckily only need to feed myself. Thank you!

What food do you have already? Pasta? Rice? Any spices? Frozen food?

I made these this week, and they were very nice and even went down well with the kids!

Jacket potato and beans
Make a big lentil soup for lunches. Make a thick version and have on pasta or rice.
Use up everything you have already. Weird combinations but fine.

Look up a girl called jack. She fed her and her son on £10 a week.

Make a batch of soup with Aldi super 6. Should do lunch for 3 days. Use left overs with eggs to make omelettes for breakfast/tea.
Pasta for tea or make batch of mince and add chilli powder and kidney beans to one portion for chili, top with mash for cottage pie and pasta for Bolognese.
500g of mince plus lentils and tinned tomatoes will be less than £5 and will do at least 6 portions.

I would live off jacket potatoes tbh but that's because I love them

Thank you for all the suggestions. I've currently got two chicken breasts in the fridge which I'll have with pasta tonight and tomorrow.
Having had a look through my cupboards ive actually got more than I thought, a lot of porridge, pasta and some cans of tuna, baked beans, canned tomatoes etc.

I will definitely have a look at a girl called jack. Thank you for all the suggestions- I'm feeling a lot less worried now!
