Armpit hair removal

DD is 11 and has rather dark armpit hair. She'd like to remove it but we're not sure how. I started with a razor but I think she's not keen. What do other young girls do?

Look at epilators and either get one with a shaver attachments or shave them before epilating so she's epilating from hairless and do that every day for a couple of weeks then change to a couple of times per week. It hurts a lot less that way.

Don't put deodorant on straight after either.

I would recommend and hair removal cream no not nearly as smelly as they used to be Wilkinson's do one for about £2. One tube would probably last her 4 / 5 goes just do it small test patch first as I believe some people have a bad reaction to some. I do with some but not this one

Can you find a salon that will hot wax?

It is so much easier , it's just the moment before the strip is peeled (which is why it makes sense for someone else to do it). The hairs grow finer over time .

I have a epilator and though I'll happily waft it up/down my legs , I don't think I'd use it on my armpits.

In Winter when my 'pits aren't on show , I use a Wet/Dry Ladyshave (not so bothered about the 5 o'clock shadow when they're covered)

I use an epilator. It does the job really quickly. It is bit uncomfortable but it does the job in less than a minute for both pits.

Yes to an electric lady shaver, she can inflict pain upon herself, when she's older ! 😄
