Beavers uniform

DS is about to be invested in Beavers, and we've got the sweatshirt now. But just seen how many bloody badges there are going to be, and now I understand why the woman in the shop advised us to buy one big enough to last him two years. If you need a new sweatshirt, do you really have to unpick all those badges and sew them back on?! As it is, we decided to go for the size that only looked slightly ridiculously too big, instead of totally ridiculously too big. Now regretting that decision...

Honestly, all I want is a quiet life. I'm clearly not cut out for scouting! Any tips from experienced beaver mums welcome!

Nobody I know has ever bought a second jumper... you buy big and make it last!

My third, and final!, child is just about to swimming up to cubs and that’s even worse because they’re there longer and over growth spurt ages!

Buy big, make it last!

Oh bugger. In that case, I think I might have to put DS through the humiliation of a ginorma-sweatshirt for the sake of future-proofing then. Thanks for advice!
