DS has cut his elbow open, the pic is his arm straight

He can move his arm fine, however he is hysterical at the thought of stitches. He’s always hated needles. Do you think this would be ok with just steri strips?

Glad he’s sorted without needing stitches.

Yay! Glad he’s sorted.

Excellent news - and hopefully he now also knows that anaesthetics exist! Time for a bravery treat, 11 or not.

Ouch, hope he’s ok looks so sore
They do give gas and air to kids we use it on my unit regularly so glad it helped.

My son burst his head open when he was 4 and I didn’t think he’d cope getting stitches after it took me a very long time to stop the bleeding due to it being his head and he was a tad hysterical due to the blood but my then dp took him and he was brilliant sat happily and Let them clean and glue it without a peep. Kids often don’t behave how you expect and medical professionals have lots of tricks up their sleeves to help frightened kids so always worth going to see what they can do hope he’s ok now x
