PJs for teen?

DS is 14 and like many 14 year olds, massive.

Where do you get your teen pjs from at a reasonable price? Do you just tend to buy mens Small size?

Supermarkets, Primark and Matalan. DS definitely in small men's clothes by 14.

cakedup · 13/10/2018 20:26

Thanks. I used to get them from Tesco until they stopped doing delivery!

He's not massive if he still fits into men's small. Anyway, why wouldn't you buy him men's sizes if that's what he fits into?

buscaution · 13/10/2018 20:42

Massive? In men's small? I don't think that's massive!

DS probably made the switch from boys to menswear at about 13.5/14, I think that's quite normal.

PoptartPoptart · 13/10/2018 20:57

I just buy men’s size pj’s from supermarkets

PoptartPoptart · 13/10/2018 20:58

Or in warmer weather DS just wears an old T-shirt with boxers

cakedup · 13/10/2018 21:15

I didn't realise it was the done thing from such an early age. I mean 'men' is not 'child'. He has only ever tried mens swimming trunk and actually found the men's small too small. Just couldn't quite get my head round the fact he'd be wearing mens size clothes?? Is that the same with trousers and tops then?

At 14 I'm sure I was wearing a ladies size 6 so I don't think it's unusual for a teen to wear adult size clothing.

ScarlettDarling · 13/10/2018 21:17

My skinny but tall 14 year old is in a men's medium for all clothes. We get pjs from primark..cheap as chips!

buscaution · 13/10/2018 21:17

It's not really unusual. All my girls started wearing adult sizes around 11/12

MirandaWest · 13/10/2018 21:17

DS is nearly 15 and has been wearing men’s clothes for over a year. He’s not massive but is the size of a medium sized man, so it’s not surprising he wears medium sized men’s clothes.

He just wears boxers to bed though..

BabySharkAteMyHamster · 13/10/2018 21:18

Ds 17 is currently wearing the alder hey, charity pjs from Matalan. He's around 6ft 3 and they fit fine.

Theyre white with multicoloured stars on and he looks adorable in them. I cant resist squishing him whenever I walk past Blush😂😂😂

celtiethree · 13/10/2018 21:22

Yes pretty normal. For my older 2 DS it was adult S from about 14. For PJs I just buy bottoms - quite like the fat face tartan ones, not cheap but last for a long time!

BabySharkAteMyHamster · 13/10/2018 22:03

Ds was in small adult at aged 10 or so. It's bloody stupid and very expensive. Paying £12 for 3 pairs of undies was quite a.leap from picking a pack of 6 up for a fiver or so.

cakedup · 13/10/2018 22:07

It does make everything more expensive!

I think I still think he is little which doesn't help even though he is taller than me

I have this problem too OP!

DS is nearly 15 but men's small PJs fall down on him, they're too big on the waist.

I eventually got some in H&M, the biggest size they do. Far cheaper than adults too.

I find this a really hard age /size to get well fitting clothes - trousers are a nightmare because DS's legs are too thick for all the kid's skinny trousers and again, adult trousers just fall down.

lljkk · 14/10/2018 04:15

Age 14 my dad was 6'2". Primark & TopShop are good for teen builds (skinny for height).
