I'd like to get a book for my DC (16yrs)
I've trawled through Amazon, and can't really decide, so thought I'd ask here for recommendations Smile

Wow! I never knew there was a get stuffed cookbook!
I loved watching it when I was a student and spotting all the Norwich landmarks. Grin

My student ds, hasn't even taken his student cookbook with him, so i can't tell you if it's any good.Hmm
My most useful cookbook is the dairy book of home cooking, I always turn to it for basic things like pancakes, flapjacks and crumble.

I like the idea of the Mob Kitchen book. I don't know if there are more recipes than the website but the premise is housemates taking it in turns to cook for everyone with accessible ingredients but producing interesting food for under a tenner for 4 as an alternative to takeaways and ready meals. Think chicken and veg pittas sort of thing.
