Struggling tonight

I've had bulimia now for over 5 years and tonight feels like a breaking point for me! I'm due on my period so have the cramps from hell (seriously bad & I've taken ibuprofen twice today!) plus just binged on the way home from work which makes me feel even sicker than I did before.

I'm not purging. I don't throw up anymore and I'm definitely not chancing laxatives with my period pain! It's going to be a long night.Sad

Anyone got any tips on how to regulate eating and not feel guilty?

I don't have any tips but I am so very impressed by you not purging.

Well done food is the worst addiction you can have all the others you can stop completely avoid so getting your bulimia under this much control is amazing. One step at a time xx lots of slightly snotty hugs

@heyjude12 aw thank you! (I had that awful cold last week and have only just got over it so I definitely get the snotty nose lol)Grin

You are already doing great by acknowledging it and not giving in. Can you have a nice hot bath and hot water bottle later?

I dont have advice you are looking for re the food though. Your not alone though i fell off the self harm bandwagon recently but i have acknowledged it and am keeping my hands busy texting. Flowers for you.

sorry you are struggling! You sounds stronger than you feel, I suspect.

What about putting a film on - something that will keep you on the edge of your seat might be good. A whodunit? Thriller of sorts? That might help pass some time.

You guys are so nice- I really appreciate the suggestions and supportThanks

I guess I do sound stronger than I feel most of the time- sometimes I need a good cry and my boyfriend doesn't know how to react hahaBlush

I wish I had a hot water bottle- I was in Morrisons earlier and it didn't even cross my mindSad can't have a bath as it's expensive.

I think movies it might be!

Movies are a good call. Plus is october so get the scary ones or thriller ones on!

2018SoFarSoGreat · 13/10/2018 00:24

we all need a good cry sometimes - it is weird how much better it makes me feel once I'm done! My DH pats me and waits til the storm passes :)

Tomorrow's task: hot water bottle, one with a nice cuddly cozy on it.

adoggymama · 13/10/2018 00:30

@2018SoFarSoGreat Tomorrow's task will be fulfilled! Can't believe I've not had one for so longShock

I wish my boyfriend was like that, I love him to pieces but he just sits there when I cry!
