We have never censored anything that 11 year old DD might want to read, but I was wondering about how dystopian / scary this book actually is. Any ideas?

My almost 11 year old is reading it at the minute. She says it's on the same level scary wise as the first Hunger Games book. There's death in it obviously and dystopian themes but it's alright. I saw the film, I'm fine with mine reading the book.
