Do your teens recycle stuff?

I am ashamed to say that my teens throw everything into the general bin- glass, plastic and paper. No matter how many times i tell or show them the recycling bins, i am constantly fishing stuff out of the big bin.
When i asked them why they keep doing it, they said they don't really care and can't be bothered to rinse stuff! I'm so annoyed. I thought this generation were meant to care about their environment? Or is ot just my good for nothing teens?

From your other post about your awful, bullying Year 6 class, the common denominator is you.

If you count 'leaving it all over the bedroom floor' as recycling, then yes, yes she does.

If they're actually tidying their room and recycling bottles cans meant a special trip downstairs then it usually ends up in their bin. Larger stuff like pizza boxes, or if they are already downstairs then yes they will put it in the recycling containers

Mine are careful about recycling and composting, as well as turning off lights, saving water, and avoiding single use plastic. All of these things are really important to us, and have been emphasised from day one, though.

My teens are fairly crap even though DH & I are eco-freaks, always have been. I honestly predict mine will turn into lazy fat throw-all-away types. Could not be more different from us.
