Not going to link to the Daily Fail, but I did have a sneaky peak at wedding photos, and I'm guessing an announcement from Harry and Meghan is imminent.

Am absolutely not a royalist, but I do love a game of 'are they, aren't they?' Thoughts?

And in my article. I guess quiet chat with Queen before and maybe Charles, a Willz and Kate then everyone else at the wedding.

KenAdams · 15/10/2018 09:16

Oh the Daily Mail said it? Must be true. Not them trying to put a negative spin on the announcement or anything I'm sure. Given that the Queen physician looks after senior royal mothers throughout their pregnancy and the fact that every appointment, scan, test etc has to be managed so things don't get out I strongly suspect that they didn't in fact wait 12 weeks to tell the Queen.

Dear MN

So my cousin and I got engaged around the same time, totally happy for him - she's nice and Mum reckons it might calm him down. Anyway, came to set a date and Gran said we couldn't possibly get married until thry had and then said I couldn't choose the month I wanted as some of the relatives were busy oh and could I shoe horn it in before said cousin goes away with work.
Then cousin and his fiance picked basically the family church where I've always wanted to get married and had a carriage like Jordan did just like I'd always dreamt. So now every one things I copied her.

Anyway, my day was amaaaazing and went on for a long weekend so was totes different to hers.

But then she announced she's pregnant AT MY WEDDING!!!!!! She totally stole my thunder!!

AIBU to think she could have waited t past my wedding to get pregnant and WIBU to tell new DH he better get me pregnant with twins ASAP

FirstAidDevice · 15/10/2018 09:19

@Kenadams it is covered in a number of articles not just the DM

Ophelialovescats · 15/10/2018 09:29

The Guardian has announced it!

serenmoon · 15/10/2018 09:31

It said they told wider family so I guess that mean parents, sibling and grandparents probably already knew.

ScottyTeapot · 15/10/2018 09:32

Bit tricky for them though - if she's only just 12 weeks then she wouldn't have wanted to tell wider family any sooner, but the Australia trip will mean daily tum-scrutiny so they only had a short window of opportunity to tell relatives before the public.

I'm sure they must have told Q/PC/W&K first. Maybe they told Eugenie too? Personally I wouldn't have had a problem with someone announcing a pregnancy at my wedding though, it just would have added some more joy and nice to tell people when they are all gathered together. But I know it isn't generally the done thing.

Great going for 37, it took me over a year at 36 to get pregnant (I know that isn't the case for everyone). Wish her all the best.

KittensAndCake · 15/10/2018 09:46

Well done @ScottyTeapot, you were right and the old miseries on this thread were wrongStar

PollyFlinderz · 15/10/2018 10:21

I don’t believe for a minute that no one in the family knew about this prior to the wedding and I think it’s yet another dirty tricks campaign by the press.

SleepingStandingUp · 15/10/2018 10:23

I'm sure in reality they checked with Eugenie first, and she's very happy for them.

Can't see why they wouldn't tell close wider family at 12 weeks, but Aus and Tummy watch means the press might as well be told.
So now it's all eyes on Eugenie.

Like how everyone just assumes Zara is just a bit plump round the middle!!

GeorgieTheGorgeousGoat · 15/10/2018 10:34

Or just that Zara had a baby 4 months ago?!

PortiaCastis · 15/10/2018 10:37

Press and keyboard warrior's dirty tricks campaigns are usually malacious and downright nasty let alone pathetic

SillySallySingsSongs · 15/10/2018 10:42

Like how everyone just assumes Zara is just a bit plump round the middle!!

Funnily enough I just assume she's had a baby about 4 months ago. I mean heaven forbid she doesn't quickly lose weight straight away Hmm

SleepingStandingUp · 15/10/2018 10:56

GeorgieTheGorgeousGoat. Or just that Zara had a baby 4 months ago?!
No, Kate and Meghan would have been commented upon at the same stage for any show of a tum. Fwiw Zara looks perfectly fine, normal, happy and slimmer than me and it wasn't a bitch comment

GeorgieTheGorgeousGoat · 15/10/2018 11:03

Actually I thought you were saying she was hiding another pregnancy. It was clearly a bit ambiguous.

SleepingStandingUp · 15/10/2018 11:17

Ah sorry no. I just meant there's a few photos where she's (understandably / quite rightly / who really cares) got a bit of a tum that would have sent the gossip columns into a spin on Kate at 4 months. I feel sorry for Kate in that scanario not Zara.
Bloody good luck to her if she is, 2under 1 and Mia looks like she has a strong personality 🤪🤪🤪

squishee · 15/10/2018 11:42

Aaand she is.

GiantKitten · 15/10/2018 12:05

Can we start speculating on names yet?

Something completely NOT traditional Royal, I’m guessing

Dontfeellikeamillenial · 15/10/2018 12:14

Good on ya Meg lass!

She's pregnant! GrinWine

headstone · 15/10/2018 12:23

Didn’t take her long, sometimes I wonder if they exaggerate fertility plummeting after 35.

GiantKitten · 15/10/2018 12:26

It doesn’t plummet for each individual, but does plummet for the population of X age

PortiaCastis · 15/10/2018 12:38

We don't actually know how long it took her as we're not privy to her personal life

headstone · 15/10/2018 12:57

They wouldn’t have tried before the wedding though.
