I’m stuck in a rut of omelet’s and beans on toast.

Can I have some ideas ready for the food shop this weekend?

On mat leave with a needy baby so simple stuff preferably that you can eat with one hand! Grin Gone dairy free which is also a huge challenge as everything I love has cheese!

A meal deal from Asda but no idea what I'm getting as someone else is picking it up for me

Moominfan · 12/10/2018 12:57

Eaten a lot of pastry

HollyBollyBooBoo · 12/10/2018 13:00

Low carbing, had a bit of chicken and a slice of Brie, not massively hungry.

Enjoying a rare day off on my own. Have treated myself to a chop & wok brown rice stir fry with a side of duck rolls. Can’t wait for it to arrive Smile

ApolloandDaphne · 12/10/2018 13:04

I had homemade lentil and bacon soup with a slice of seeded bread followed by a buttered slice of homemade (by someone else) walnut and date loaf and a cup of tea. It was delicious.

AviatorShades · 12/10/2018 13:05

Stew in the slow cooker lasts for 3 days of lunches. You can buy bags of chopped up stew veg in tesco. Diced meat, stock, pearl barley, tin of toms

Babyshark2018 · 12/10/2018 13:17

Stew is a good idea as we like using the slow cooker. We’ve done slow cooked pulled pork before and had it with wraps/ rice/ pasta over a few days. Might start batch cooking more too. Smile

I boringly almost always eat salad lunches in summer and soup or jacket potato in winter. Occasionally on Fridays I treat myself to a panini. Today very randomly I broke with routine and had a chicken & Bramston pickle sandwich with smokey bacon crisps. My inner devil wants to come out today and eat nothing but carbs, fat & sugar

Aventurine · 12/10/2018 13:26

Forgot to mention i add either tinned butter beans or dried soup mix (contains dried beans, peas, lentils) Chick peas and dried apricots if doing a morrocan lamb stew

Babyshark2018 · 12/10/2018 13:30

Aventurine I just searched morrocan lamb stew recipes. Sounds divine. Thank you it’s on my list!

Toast, avocado and scrambled eggs! I'm working at home, and having dinner late, so went for something to keep me going.

Mummaluelae · 12/10/2018 13:33

Strong cheddar and an onion in a tiger roll

Aventurine · 12/10/2018 13:50

I never brown the meat. Just throw it in raw and it comes out lovely and is super easy

Jellyonawonkyplate · 12/10/2018 13:51

Ciabatta roll toasted with tomato, mozzarella, bit of olive oil, rocket. Contemplating half a doughnut.

There's a lot of cheese going on today isn't there Grin

Babyshark2018 · 12/10/2018 13:57

Jelly I envy you. That is the perfect lunch!
