DS is having a soft play party for his 5th birthday. I said RSVP by 16th October as we have to pay during half term.

I'm going to try to catch the lazy buggers who haven't replied on the school run today. HOW HARD IS IT TO SEND A TEXT!!

It’s the 12th today, you want a reply by the 16th.

Sparklingbrook · 12/10/2018 08:46

I can't understand why people don't RSVP. You get the invitation, check the calendar then reply yes or no straight away.

MumOfTwoMasterOfNone · 12/10/2018 09:52

I don't understand why people do this either. At DSs last party, some people RSVPd yes and then just didn't turn up which is worse when you've paid per child. Angry

MumOfTwoMasterOfNone · 12/10/2018 09:53

Oh and good luck!

Minniemountain · 12/10/2018 13:53

I do indeed want a reply in 4 days time. But given that they've had the invites for 2 weeks, it's unlikely they'll suddenly remember their manners now.

1 child assured me he is coming, so that's a start.

I sometimes wonder if they may worry they'll get a better offer in between or something. If they've nothing else on they'll come. Hmm

You shouldn't have to chase them.

MumOfTwoMasterOfNone · 12/10/2018 14:22

I think the same sparklingbrook

Minniemountain · 12/10/2018 16:31

It's a pain. I've resorted to getting DS to ask his friends if they're coming.

Maybe it is the better offer thing.

DS can have a day out with a few close friends next year.

We had a party last weekend and some didn't reply, nor have they mentioned the fact they are rude twats at the school gates since 🤷🏻‍♀️ some people are annoying! I would pay for the ones that have rsvp'd a few days after the 16th and any cheeky ones that turn up can pay for their own kids

Haffdonga · 12/10/2018 16:43

It sounds a bit strange -to chase replies now when you specifically asked for replies by next week. Confused

It is absolutely NOT rude of people not to reply yet when you have told them they don't need to reply yet.

Minniemountain · 12/10/2018 17:05

I'm not doing most of the school runs for a month as of Wednesday as I've got daily medical treatment. The latter is causing me more anxiety than expected, so I'd like to get this sorted.

Maybe they will all reply by 16th but I think it's highly unlikely.

You can't put the 16th then chase on the 12th Confused If you wanted them by the 12th then put the 12th.

trilbydoll · 12/10/2018 17:10

Do you have a class Facebook group you can chase on? Or did you not invite them all so it might be a bit awkward?
