Any advice would be helpful..

After fighting to get my name on the housing register.. I have finally been put on it.. down side is I am stuck on band D.. few weeks ago I asked for a review.. so I was asked to provide additional information.. which I did and I got letters wrote iny support from the school and social services.. anyway my band was reviewed and deemed band D.. supposedly I can not challenge the decision..

Back story.. me and my 10 year old live in a 3 bed house with 4 adult family members plus us.. we share a room and she sleeps on a camp bed at the end of mine..

Any information and or advice..

Thank you

You're housed OP. Safely housed. It's not perfect but social housing is practically non-existent nowadays.

They look at the factors and decide "Is this person's child at risk where she is?" and since you're with family, they decide that no...there's no risk.

Whilst others might be living on the street, in dirty temporary hostels where the child is at risk daily due to sharing with multiple non-family members....or there might be damp and mould present.

Or stairs which they cant manage if they are disabled.

As long as you're housed in a dry, warm and safe house, you will remain unimportant to them.

The only time I managed to get housed was when we rented privately and the Landlord sold suddenly...we didn't have enough deposit for a private let so they gave us a flat. We've since moved to Australia but I remember those days well.

I advise you to start saving hard for a private rental of your own. You can get a flat for a lower cost than a house.

Is there any way you can save up and move out privately? I doubt this or guy wouldn’t be on the list. Who owns the 3 bed? Most places won’t do anything until you are chucked out? Could you ask them to effectively do this? Sorry I can’t help more?
I also need to state I don’t know if my suggestions are legal or above board and they’d need research
