Anxiety about taking a new medication..

I still have bad tonsillitis which I saw my GP about and they're worried about me as I'm so unwell with it. They've given me a new medication - clarithromycin, different dose (500mg twice a day). I've had ten of erithromycin four times a day lower dose.

I don't know why but I'm really worried about taking it. I think it's because it says about not taking it if you've ever had heart problems - I get a lot of heart rate problems (and blood pressure problems) going high and low because of autonomic problems and it's scaring me to take it. I know it sounds silly, I'm so unwell with extra autonomic problems due to the tonsillitis I don't want to get even worse. I'm supposed to start it tomorrow as I had the last of the erithromycin just before my appointment at 5.

I stupidly looked at the leaflet., I should have asked the pharmacist but was in a rush. GP was adamant I must change (possibly because I had a urine stick showing blood/severe diahorrea an hour after eating) they sound like the same thing to me so would it just be the same?

I know I've taken domperidone in the past without problem - I was refused it when last admitted because they said I couldn't have it with my heart rate and blood pressure but GP insisted I changed as the alternative meant I couldn't urinate.

Any ideas/reassurance would be good. No pharmacies open here now until after I'm due to take it.
