Gift ideas please - 13 yo boy

A friend's son is turning 13 and I have no ideas for a gift for him. What do your 13 year old boys like? He is sporty, if that helps narrow options.

I know it’s boring but cash or a gift voucher is probably your safest bet.
How about a voucher for a sports shop (JD Sports, Footlocker, Sports Direct etc)
