In the top right hand corner of my Facebook app, it says I have 8 messages. For love nor money, I cannot find these messages. It’s going up too, about 10 minutes ago I only have 7!

Can anyone help?

Have you 'friended' people recently, sometimes it adds them into the messages for no good reason that I can see. Or it could be in the 'other' inbox.

I have this too. I'm wondering if it's the adverts that have suddenly appeared? What's the "other" inbox?

Even when I’ve had messages in the ‘other’ inbox, it hasn’t shown as a notification. I don’t think I have any but can’t be sure.

The message requests one? I think if you get a message from someone you are not 'friends' with, it goes in there rather than the main one (or it does with me!).

I’m wondering if it’s a bug issue - as every time I reply I’ve ended up with a few which included my reply’s

I’ve checked and I can’t find anything.

Plus I wouldn’t have 8 in the last 48 hours. I’ve probabky only ever had 3 in the 10 yrs I’ve been on FB

I am having this issue and there are no messages to read in either box!

Hopefully it will be fixed in the next update. Sounds like a bug/ glitch then.

I’ve been having the same problem as has dh. Hope it’s a glitch that will go away.

Mine was the same. It was updates from items i had saved from the marketplace. I was able to delete the messages on a PC rather than my phone as you can filter them by unread messages. It was annoying!
