From Tesco - would you eat them?

They look and smell fine, I think, but I know fish can be dodgy.

I would.

Out of date fish? Not a chance.

TwitterQueen1 · 10/10/2018 18:25

Of course they'll be OK. No way would a shop be selling anything that was so time-critical.... eat it today? fine. Eat it tomorrow? You'll end up in hospital... I don't think so!

Grin they don't become poisonous on the stroke of midnight. If they look and smell ok i'd eat them

LemonysSnicket · 10/10/2018 18:28

Oh just bloody eat the things

LemonysSnicket · 10/10/2018 18:29

Cook them and if they look fine and smell fine then they are FINE

AllStevesPals · 10/10/2018 18:30

Yes I don't normally bother but just wanted to check due to it being fish.

Thanks all.

With fish I wouldn’t

JeanPagett · 10/10/2018 18:35

I totally would.

Floralnomad · 10/10/2018 18:37

I would if they smell ok

AdamNichol · 11/10/2018 12:29

Use your sense(s) [literally]

I had a summer job in a crisp making factory - all the free crisps and RSI you like.
They came out of oil vats in batches for packaging. At midnight, the date stamp went forward a day; it's still the same cooked batch.

How well your products last up to their best before depends more on the quality of refrigeration they got at your place. And like ItsJust...says they don't go from fine to poison in an instant. If they smell ok (and you'd know if they didn't) and not covered in green or white fur, they're fine

DancingForTheDog · 11/10/2018 12:45

I would, with a bit of tartar sauce on the side, yum.

BarbaraofSevillle · 11/10/2018 13:31

I buy a lot of reduced food from M&S and usually eat it a day out of date.

Never found anything to be anywhere near off and never had food poisoning.

WineAndTiramisu · 11/10/2018 13:33

I'd definitely eat it!
